This is the new program as of November 2025
The Support at Home program replaced the older Home Care Packages (HCP) and Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP). Learn more about the reforms.

🕒 How to Get It
- Call My Aged Care on 1800 200 422 and ask for an assessment.
- Have an ACAT assessment at home to discuss your needs.
- Wait for your support to be assigned. This can take months, so ask about short-term help while you wait. See our guide on what to do while you wait.
While You Wait
Ask the assessor about getting temporary help. This can provide basic services much faster while you wait for your full Support at Home budget.
💰 What Will I Pay?
Most people pay a small daily fee. Depending on your income, you might be asked to pay more. This is called an 'income-tested fee'.
